Surface Creations of Maine is a second-generation, woman-owned stone fabrication company proudly rooted in Maine. For over 30 years, we’ve helped homeowners, designers, and builders bring their spaces to life with expertly crafted countertops, built to last and delivered on time.
We’re not a big-box vendor or a faceless fabricator. We’re a hands-on team of professionals who care deeply about getting the details right. Our Story
Surface Creations started over 30 years ago in New Hampshire, founded by a husband-and-wife team with a focus on quality craftsmanship and honest service. In the early days, we specialized in Corian and laminate, working exclusively wholesale, with a then-unheard-of two-week turnaround time that quickly became our signature.
As the industry evolved, so did we. In the early 2000s, we expanded into stone fabrication, launching Stone Creations to meet rising demand for natural and engineered surfaces. When the 2008 recession hit, most businesses pulled back.
We doubled down. With a fresh perspective after hiking the Appalachian Trail, our founders made bold moves, investing in new equipment, expanding operations, and opening our Maine location to better serve northern New England.
By 2019, leadership passed to the second generation. Under the direction of Jillian Wyshak, the company continues to grow, but without losing the standards we were built on.
She’s focused on honoring the legacy while modernizing operations, deepening partnerships, and expanding our reach across the state. Her approach is clear: evolve where it matters, never compromise where it doesn’t.
